Meiji Jingu Gaien ice skating rink
As the seniors spend their last year as a Sacred Heart student, they look for new ways to spend time together as the ‘senior class’. The Meiji Jingu Gaien Ice Skating Rink was the perfect December destination to cool down and have some fun with one another. No matter their skating level, the seniors were able to have a lot of fun laughing, falling, and skating.
The Meiji Jingu Gaien Ice Skating Rink is located in Meiji Jingu Gaien, the station near the National Stadium, which will serve as the multi-purpose stadium for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The rink recently opened up after being renovated and is equipped with multiple new facilities such as a heating room and a food and drinks area.
The newly renovated rink is a popular destination for all who are interested in skating, as it is open all year round. The rink is open to the public from 1 PM to 5 PM from Monday through Fridays and from 10 AM to 5 PM on the weekends. An admission ticket costs 1,370 yen for adults (16 or older) and 950 yen for children, with an additional cost of 510 yen for skating shoes.
The Meiji Jingu Gaien Ice Skating Rink truly is an indoor ‘winter wonderland’ that everyone will enjoy.
