Khwaish J. (’24)
Khwaish is in her senior year of high school. She is an Indian who has lived in Japan since she was three months old. This is her fifth year in Sacred Heart and third year in Journalism. Her reason for continuing Journalism is inspirational investigative journalists and activists, such as Maria Ressa, a Nobel Prize- winning Filipino-American journalist and Bakhra Dutt, a padma shri winner in journalism. She values the freedom of press and believes that without the freedom of press, society cannot advance. She is really interested in reading political and historical fiction and nonfiction. She often finds herself spending hours spiraling deep into interesting scientific, political, and investigative research. She enjoys spontaneity but also likes having something to do all the time. She is really excited to be the Viewpoint editor and write for The International again this year!
