“I personally feel that Track & Field is really an underestimated sport. People think that it’s “just running” but it’s actually way more than that. We do stuff such as pyramids, sprinting, and intensive workouts. When I first joined track, I honestly thought, “What have I gotten myself into?” and I dreaded going to practice everyday. But then I discovered hurdles, and I loved it. Running a hurdle race is like life, because there are always going to be obstacles and you might not always make it past them. You just have to keep going and pushing yourself until you get to your goal.” – Maya
