Yoshina is a sophomore at Sacred Heart. She is Japanese, but has lived in the United States for seven years. She loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing tennis and field hockey.  Yoshina in her freshman year published an article in The International called “The Covid-19 pandemic’s effect on garment workers.” Since then she has been interested in joining Journalism for her sophomore year.

The journalist in the background in the photo with Yoshina is Jessica Pressler. She’s an American journalist, a contributing editor for New York magazine. She wrote about a con artist named Anna Sorokin which was later turned into a series called “Inventing Anna.” Yoshina was really influenced by Jessica Pressler’s determination and the amount of research that she had to do to get the report on Anna Sorokin.
