Born in Pakistan, Ayra has moved back and forth between North America and Asia, living in New York City, Islamabad, and Washington DC. She is currently living in Tokyo where she has resided for a little over a year. Music, fashion/beauty, and traveling are just a few of her interests, but her love for food tops it all. She is passionate about contemporary world issues such as water scarcity and hopes to investigate solutions and also share her findings with a wider audience. Journalism and design have intrigued Ayra from a young age; some of her favorite pieces to read online include editorials in The New York Times and beauty and lifestyle posts on Into the Gloss. It is her first year in Journalism at Sacred Heart. She is excited to not only grow as a writer but contribute new and interesting stories for The International.
