“Hi, I’m Molly and I came to Sacred Heart in 10th grade (2018)!

My best memory at ISSH by far was traveling to Guam with the cross country team. I was brand new to Sacred Heart so this was an amazing way to be able to bond with people so quickly. It was so fun getting to run with them on the beautiful Guam beaches. I’ll never forget when we were swimming in the crystal clear water and a huge sting ray decided to swim with us.

My weirdest memory at ISSH is actually a good one! I remember when I first arrived on my very first day of school, everyone wanted to talk to the new kids. It was so strange to me because at my previous school “new kids” were people nobody wanted to talk to. It was an amazing and welcoming experience.

My best excursion was in 10th grade. It was my first excursion so it was so fun to meet and bond with new people. I remember having so many dance parties in each others’ rooms and waking up super early with the cross country team to go for a little run. It was so tiring but so fun.

Running is a big passion of mine, so I’m so thankful for the coaches I’ve had who have helped me get stronger and improve while having fun at the same time.

My biggest piece of advice for everyone would be to surround yourself with people who accept you for who YOU are. Do not change for anyone. If you have to change for them, they aren’t a real friend in the first place. Stick with the real ones.

I will be going to BYU (Brigham Young University). This is actually a branch of universities in three different locations, but I will be attending the biggest campus in Provo, Utah!

I am so lucky that COVID-19 hasn’t affected my college decisions whatsoever. I have always dreamed of going to BYU— I’ve known since I was a kid that it would be the right school for me, so I’m so lucky I get to attend!”
