Sacred Heart will be hosting the award-winning Palestinian-American poet, essayist & educator, Naomi Shihab Nye, on Saturday, January 23, 2016. All members of the Sacred Heart community are invited to attend this extraordinary event with Ms. Nye and discover our shared humanity.

There will be an informal Q&A session about Ms. Nye’s poetry from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Duchesne Room. Following a short break, Ms. Nye will give a poetry reading from 5:20 – 6:10 p.m. and sign books afterward if you happen to bring any of her books with you.

Many of Ms. Nye’s poems are available online, but you are welcome to visit the MSHS Library and read some of her works in our collection, which are now on display in the Non-Fiction Room.
