“Hello, I’m Dyuti! I joined ISSH in K4 (2007). I will be attending Berklee College of Music from the fall to study Music Business. It’s sad to think that my 14 years at ISSH are coming to an end so soon, but I’m really excited about my next step in life!

One of the best memories at Sacred Heart would be Grade 10 excursions. My friends and I created a silly song, dressed up weirdly, and then barged into other rooms to perform it. Everyone was surprised but the overall energy and hype were really fun.

Music played an important role during my years here and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to take part in various musical activities and meet people from other grades with similar passions. One of the things I love about our school is that there are so many opportunities for everyone here and the community is so tight-knit, making it easier for us to interact with people from other grades.

Although our senior year wasn’t “perfect,” it made me realize how much I love my grade and how important they are to me. I’m just glad that I was able to see everyone and go to classes with them even during the pandemic.  Even though I don’t necessarily talk to each person in the grade every day, I’m really thankful for everyone because I’ve learned something from each of them.

High school might seem really stressful but it’s really worth it in the end. Through this journey, I was able to meet various kinds of people and go through both challenging times and enjoyable times with them.

One piece of advice I would leave to the underclassmen would be: try out everything you want to. You might be busy at the end of the day but at least you are doing what makes you happy and that’s really important. However, make sure not to overwork yourself (you wouldn’t want to stay up super late finishing off assignments). You also shouldn’t waste your time participating in clubs or sports that don’t excite you. High school has a lot to offer, and it’s four years of your life when you can be yourself and pursue your passions. I’ve met some of the most fantastic people through diversifying the activities I participate in and the people I hang out with, and I now feel like I know who I am. Make the best out of the years you have left!” — Dyuti
