Konatsu is currently a junior at the International School of the Sacred Heart, beginning her first semester as a journalist for The International! A lifelong ISSH student since K5 and born at the Red Cross Hospital right beside campus, Konatsu is deeply connected to the school community through numerous activities: debate, volleyball, basketball, soccer, student council, peer support, and more. Outside of journalism and last-minute studying for tests she’s known about for two weeks, she enjoys walking her dog, whom she calls her best friend, cooking high-protein meals that sometimes taste like blended cardboard, drawing, and fighting for the tricep machine at her local gym. This year, Konatsu hopes to level up by covering a wide range of topics, from geopolitical issues to the “oversharing epidemic,” through the slightly chaotic but uniquely observant lens only she can offer.
