Linda L. ('26)
Linda is currently in ninth grade, spending her fifth year at Sacred Heart. She was raised in Shanghai, China and moved to Japan after first grade. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and basketball. Linda was a member of the Student Outlook for three years and looks forward to publishing her writings in The International for a bigger audience.
In the background of her staff photo is Atul Gawande, a journalist who used to be a writer for the New Yorker and also a surgeon and a professor at Harvard Medical School. Linda enjoys the variety of topics he writes about, not only about medicine research but also about his stories and experiences with patients. One of her favourite articles that he wrote is "Letting Go". In the article, he wrote about how we have advanced medicines and technology but are not good at improving the lives of the patients who are at the last stages of life.
